SigmaTel美國專利布局初探

以”sigmatel”為關鍵字於專利權人(asignee)欄位進行檢索,時間到2005年8月22日止,資料庫使用Thomson Delphion全球專利資料庫,調查範圍為美國核准專利資料,所得核准專利件數為47件,初步討論結果如下:

共同擁有專利

所謂的共同擁有專利即是一件專利同屬於兩個公司(專利權人)。由此資料可以看出這個公司除了自行開發相關技術外,尚有與哪些研究單位(例如學校)或是其他公司進行相關技術開發,此資料可以當成該公司廣可以獲得的技術來源。此資料的獲取可以由上述47件專利之專利權人統計中得到。表一為Sigmatel47件專利之專利權人統計結果,與三件共有專利資料,由此資料可以看出三篇專利是SigmaTel最早的三件專利,於1995年8月15日申請,所以Dallas Semiconductor Corp.可能就是SigmaTel技術來源公司,或是母公司(例如Dallas Semiconductor的轉投資公司,相關資料需要進一步調查SigmaTel的年報)。
