2012年4月19日，美國賓州一家以開發展覽用互動設備與技術、並提供給博物館或博覽會等使用的公司FlatWorld Interactives LLC (下稱FlatWorld)，向美國北加州聯邦地院提告，控告Apple Inc.的iPhone、iPod Touch、iPad等裝設有觸控式螢幕之產品，侵犯其所擁有、美國專利編號US RE43,318、名稱為「從螢幕顯示移除物件之互動式介面（User interface for removing an object from a display）」之專利。
本案系爭專利為2012年4月17日再核發（reissue）之專利US RE43,318，其原專利US 6,920,619則是在2005年所核發。系爭專利之發明人Slavko Milekic博士原在賓州Hampshire College之認知科學系任教，並研發可以讓兒童容易與電腦互動之手勢辨識觸控螢幕；其後其研發出一套名為KiddyFace、讓兒童可以與展覽互動之數位環境系統，並將之推廣使用於多家博物館與多項展覽會中。
Slavko Milekic與Jennifer McAleese於2007年創辦FlatWorld Interactives LLC公司，將其專利實現商業化，包括專利US 6,920,619開發之展覽用互動介面技術。(429字；表2)
