2012年05月23日，設於美國賓夕法尼亞州的TruePosition Inc.(下稱TruePosition) 以1項專利侵權為由，控告Polaris Wireless所提供、製造、使用及販賣之定位行動裝置之系統產品侵權，全案將由美國德拉瓦州聯邦地院負責審理調查。
本案系爭專利US7,783,299於2005年06月10日申請，2010年08月24日獲准。發明人為Anderson等5人，專利權人為TruePosition公司。系爭專利之申請專利範圍其請求項共114項，獨立項有8項。
根據原告TruePosition在訴狀中指稱，被告Polaris Wireless所提供、製造、使用及販賣之定位行動裝置之系統產品，如型號為：Polaris Wireless Location SignaturesTM、GSMDirect及Altus等，侵害其299專利之權利項第111,112,113,114等項。
TruePosition Inc.成立於1992年，是一家提供行動裝置定位之服務及設備的公司，可提供全球安全及保安市場之定位及情報解決方案。
